In today's Gospel, Jesus gives us the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector-two men who go up to the Temple to pray. The Pharisee stands proud, listing his good deeds, while the tax collector stands at a distance, humbly asking for mercy. Jesus concludes, "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted."

In today's Gospel, Jesus gives us the parable of the persistent widow to teach us about the power and necessity of prayer. The widow's perseverance before the unjust judge mirrors our call to pray with faith and constancy - not because God is reluctant to help, but because prayer keeps our hearts open to His will and strengthens our trust in His providence.

In today’s Gospel, ten lepers cry out to Jesus for mercy, and all are healed. Yet only one—a Samaritan—returns to give thanks. Jesus asks, “Where are the other nine?” Gratitude, we see, is not simply good manners; it is the mark of a true disciple.

In today's Gospel the disciples ask Jesus, "Increase our faith!" Jesus respofaqeeeends that even faith the size of a mustard seed can work wonders. He then reminds them that discipleship is not about recognition or reward but about humble service: "We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty."

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells us the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man had everything he could wish for, but he failed to notice the poor man lying at his door.
